Spring 2024 UX Writing/ Content Design Intern
The NTLSC User Experience Writing Internship is a 10-week unpaid internship designed to give students the opportunity to learn and apply UX writing skills in a real-world setting. Interns will work on a variety of projects, including writing microcopy for the NTLSC website, designing user flows, and conducting user research on NTLSC website users.
Responsibilities:
- Write and edit microcopy for the NTLSC website, including button labels, error messages, and help text
- Design user flows and wireframes
- Conduct user research to understand user needs and preferences
- Collaborate with designers and developers to create a user-friendly experience
- Contribute to the NTLSC UX writing team by sharing ideas and feedback
- Present findings at the Admin Council Meeting at the end of the internship
Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in a related field, such as English, communication, or human-computer interaction
- Experience with Figma or other design software preferred)
- Strong understanding of UX principles
- Passion for writing clear and concise copy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Spring 2024 Technical Writing Internship
The NTLSC Technical Writing Internship is a 10-week unpaid internship designed to give students the opportunity to learn and apply technical writing skills in a real-world setting. Interns will work on a variety of projects, including writing user guides, API documentation, and release notes.
Responsibilities:
- Write user guides for technical communication professionals, students, and educators
- Record video guides for technical communication professionals, students, and educators
- Publish Monthly Release Notes
- Present topics on technical writing
- Conduct user research to understand user needs and preferences
- Collaborate with webmasters to create clear and concise technical documentation
- Contribute to the NTLSC technical writing team by sharing ideas and feedback
Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in a related field, such as technical writing, communication, or computer science
- Strong understanding of technical writing principles
- Passion for writing clear and concise technical documentation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Spring 2024 Technical Training Internship
The NTLSC Technical Training Internship is a 10-week unpaid internship designed to give students the opportunity to learn and apply technical training skills in a real-world setting. Interns will work on a variety of projects, including developing and delivering training materials, creating e-learning courses, and designing and implementing training programs.
Responsibilities:
- Propose an develop and deliver training materials for NTLSC staff and volunteers
- Help create e-learning courses for NTLSC Officers
- Help design and implement training programs to meet the needs of NTLSC staff and volunteers
- Support the NTLSC technical training team by sharing ideas and feedback
Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in a related field, such as instructional design, education, or human-computer interaction
- Strong understanding of technical training principles
- Passion for developing and delivering effective training
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
2024 Spring NTLSC Proposal Writing Intern
The NTLSC Proposal Writing Internship is a 10-week unpaid internship designed to give students the opportunity to learn and apply proposal writing skills in a real-world setting. Interns will work on a variety of projects, including writing grant proposals, RFPs, and other funding proposals.
Responsibilities:
- Research and identify funding opportunities
- Develop and write grant proposals, RFPs, and other funding proposals
- Work with NTLSC staff to ensure that proposals are aligned with the organization’s mission and goals
- Proofread and edit proposals to ensure that they are clear, concise, and error-free
- Assist with proposal submission and follow-up
Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in a related field, such as English, communication, or nonprofit management
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Ability to conduct research and identify funding opportunities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
