Join us as we pick the brains of tech comm professionals: Addison Kliewer, Art Berger, and Emily Foshee on the topics of resumes, interviewing, and career development post graduation!
The first half of this exciting event will be a panel discussion wherein the speakers will answer predetermined and audience-driven questions on the respective topics.
During the second half, the audience will get a chance to improve their resume, hone their interview skills, and plan out their career path!

Meet Our Speakers
Addison Kliewer, Technical Writer
Addison is a technical writer at FieldRoutes, a Cloud-based and mobile SaaS provider that automates all aspects of field service operations for enterprise and small business customers. He has a masters degree in professional and technical communication from the University of North Texas, and currently serves as the vice president of the Lone Star STC chapter. He’s also a iFixit Technical Writing Project Alumni member, and works on creating repair guides for computer and gaming equipment. When he’s not working on technical communications, he enjoys traveling, tennis, cycling, and taekwondo.
Art Berger, Technical Writer
Art Berger is a technical writer for Solo.io, a startup that focuses on developer-centric software for open source, application networking technology. Previously at IBM, he developed the interview questions for technical writers as part of a new, situational-based hiring initiative. He also has experience in recruiting, résumé development, and HR from a small business and defense contracting perspective. He has a masters degree in technical communication from N.C. State University, and currently serves as the president of the STC Carolina chapter. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, playing piano, getting some outdoor exercise preferably on a hike or lake, and spending time with his family, some of whom are also technical communicators!
Emily Foshee, Masters Student of Technical Communication, Secretary of STC at Texas Tech
Emily is a second-year master’s student studying Technical Communication at Texas Tech University. She is also the secretary of the Society for Technical Communication student chapter at Tech. She has worked as an Instructor of College Rhetoric at Tech, and she is now preparing to enter the Technical Writing industry. Her professional interests include technical writing, instructional design, grant writing, and technical editing. She is a volunteer grant writer for Epicenter, a nonprofit that advocates for justice for youths suffering from extreme sentences in Texas’s criminal justice system. Her personal interest and hobbies include sewing, ASL, and reptiles.
